What's It Worth - A80 Quattro (G,H,J reg) ?

I've been offered the possibility of a px on my XJ40 against an Audi 80 Quattro. I can't remember the year of registration, but possibly G, H or J.
I haven't the slightest idea what they're worth. It's got plenty of MOT, and just had the water pump and cambelt done. It's a V6.

I've seen the car a few times and it's fairly tidy, with potential to be excellent. There's slight bubbling on the front wheelarches.
It's been suggested that the owner would give me the car plus some cash for the jag (L reg 1993, 3.2 sport)

Any info gratefully received.

Not sure to be honest.
I've got a 1995 Audi 80 Quattro Avant 2.6 which is my daily. I paid £1100 for it about a year ago with 11 months MOT.
Came with FSH and every MOT from new and 82,000 miles on the clock.


Not that good a deal as it needed a replacement box soon after, which I got from 4Ringspares for £150 plus £40 delivery. Plus paying my mate to fit the thing.

Correction. It's not an 80, it's a 100 (I think). Looks like this, but in white . . . . .



But hasn't got any badges on to say what it is. And it's a 94, L reg car.

If its a 94L reg (Series 4) it will look like this (my old 92J reg car):



That looks like a US 5000 (same as our 100/200 model). However it has the flared (not flush) wheelarches as per the Series 4 cars. I don't think it is a V8 as it doesn't have the dropped bonnet.

White is a bad colour, it'll look like a fridge!

If its 94L reg it could either be the 2.6 V6 (150bhp) or the 2.8 V6 (174bhp).

I'd find out more about it, and post some pics up.

I have never owned a Jag but I loved my 2.3e quattro J reg and I now love my 2.3 quattro G reg. Lovely solid cars, and surefooted with quattro (brilliant driving back from Bristol to Wiltshire last night in the rainstorms).

I'd make sure the exhaust is OK, as my J reg one was shot and cost £400 for a stainless replacement. Howver the 94L reg will have cats (multiple probably 2) so if they are shot, its gonna cost hundreds......

Value???? £500-1000 probably.

Front wheel arches shouldn't bubble, they're galvanised.......

Hope this helps, I'd go for it if its just pased the MoT, it means the cats were OK then.

Could be pattern part replacements I guess.
