The VW badge seems to add about a grand on to anything nowadays.
You get a helluva lot more Seat for your money than you would if it was a Golf.
You can get a fully specced Seat Leon for the same as a standard spec Golf.
I know where my money would go, and to be fair, the Seat is a bloody nice looking car.

Me and Flossie are on our third Seat Leon. Started with a Y Plate SE Tdi, then a Y Plate Cupra and now she has one of the last Cupras ( old shape ) on a 54 reg, well it's actually on a private plate now. The only issues we have ever had were the three wires going to each of the coil packs on the Y plate Cupra. The insulation was cracked and they arked out at higher revs. Seat couldn't find the problem investigating it on six occasions. That car did 1201k miles and was also remapped to 210bhp. The one we have now has just turned 130k miles and has, touch wood, never had an issue. This is remapped to 210bhp also and they go like a train. She returns 34mpg no issue, uses no oil and will do 400 miles to a tank. Tyre wear on the 225 /17 / 45's is brilliant with no issues. Comfortable, pretty quick, go - cart handling, roomy with some nice standard features like folding mirrors, climate, 6 cd changer, computer. We love em. The only trouble is I don't like the newer shape too much and ours will be changed before the year is out.

You need to make sure that is 99% spot on Micky before you go buying one of them. Massive engine bills if owts wrong, seriously. Love em though. Why not the later 3.6 one or the V8?

This could actually be an M5 - if its got the dog leg manual box and the engine out out of the BMW M1 rather than an M535i which had a bog standard 3.5 engine and a Mtechnic body kit and wheels. Unfortunately the add doesn't tell you anything useful to determine this.

Nice motor though...
