3m tape.
Also, I have a few NOS badges at work. I'll have a look late and see what I have. |

personally Micky I would take the strips off to be sure of a good neat finish. Bit of a ball ache I know but it's one of those jobs where you really get one shot and the finish is always relative to the amount of prep that goes in.
Interested to know about the badges as I have 2 to go on my bootlid |

I'd have a word with Kully. He works in a body shop and does this stuff day in day out, and I'm sure he'd be able to help/assist in some way shape or form.

I'd say keep them on. If it saves getting a few dinks then it's worth it, apart from that they are original to the car. I'm sure if they got stuck on 27 years ago, they can be re stuck on some 27 years later. Kully mentioned something he uses can't remember what it was called though. Tiger something????????? But that would sort it out. |

its not that i don't want them on its just that i want a good spray job and masking them it leaves a line where the paint butts up on the strip.but i don't want to bend them or damage them takeing them off.

I know this isn't helpful... But I agree with Coxy, please keep the strips on her, it looks somehow bland without them.

heat em up with a hot air gun then slowly pass a cheese wire down the back or even very strong fishing line

things have a habit of appearing on ebay just after you give up!
if you're not in a hurry, take your time and the badges will come! |
