To be honest, most on here agree the JS is a particularly robust and reliable engine so stick with it

actual production numbers? or just certain engine codes? they were only around upto about 1983 in 80s and coupes and 100s that i know of.Very few left Id have thought

Spot on Jeff, my 80 CD saloon had the same WN lump, fantastic engine but very troublesome carb on them.
Rebuilt mine it ran like clockwork afterwards until it went out off tune again.

i have no plans on changing it as its been pretty reliable in the past and very econmical on fuel just need too fix all the wee air pipes there split and give it a good service
