Default audi 90 cd 2,0 engine swap

anybody able too tell me wat i would need too change too put a 2.3 5 cylinder into my 90 cd mines the 2.0kv would i have to change the wiring or is it a simple swap

KV should be 2.2 and that's great engine

It's not a simple swap to install a 2.3.

wiring would need changed since the 2.3 uses a partial ecu setup

yes well i was thinking that, sumone said too me it was a straight swap and wat was the problem but i remember my cousin did this swap with a 2.0 gt coupe years ago and they cut into the wiring and the car was never right always having problems. not thinking off doing as happy with car as is just needed too know that i wasnt talking nonsence,cheers.

To be honest, most on here agree the JS is a particularly robust and reliable engine so stick with it

i have no plans on changing it as its been pretty reliable in the past and very econmical on fuel just need too fix all the wee air pipes there split and give it a good service
