1984 80 windscreen

If any one has a screen to fit a 1984 80 please let me know.
Im having a bit of grot repaired on the scuttle and I need to take the screen out to do it properly. I want a spare screen on standby should the one Ive got breaks whilst being removed.

Im in Northampton but can travell within reason,

this isn't going to be much help as I need a new screen for my 1982 Audi 80 CD as well, but I also needed a screen this time last year and got one replace via the insurance for the £50 excess. At first, they bought a Series 3 screen but came back next day with the correct early screen. Only problem with mine was that on the first trip out after having the new screen fitted, the screen got a huge chip in it from a stone, ironically, it was from the car in front which I was driving and my wife was driving the 80.

Oh so they are still availible then, dont have windscreen cover just a cheapo classic policy.

yup, still available. Got mine through Auto Windscreens.
Even some classic car policies cover windscreen insurance. Worth checking before you take it out!

Agreed: most CC policies do, with the usual £50/£60 excess. Had mine done twice & even no. 3 now has a chip! If you have to use the service, remember there are 2 tints. I've got an '84 Sport with brown tint & a later '86 one, with green tint. They don't always ask and usually bring the later (green) one.

Thats good to know didnt realise it had a tint Ill know now to spec the brown one.

Just to add, have had to get a replacement for my 1982 Audi 80. Rang up National Windscreens yesterday who sent a chap over to try and repair which didn't work so they got in another screen today. Comes fitted with the correct factory boss for the rear view mirror as well, but was tinted in green. Not a major as the car is Inari Silver (Green!) so looks good!
