Default What DSLR Camera

Over to you photo experts then. Whars a good entry level (circa £400) DSLR then? Its mind boggling looking on the various websites. Sometimes best to go on peoples personal reccomendations

from the side of the fence, Nikon D80/D90.

You should be able to pick up a decent D80 with a couple of lenses for that kind of money.

Most threads like this seem to end up in a Nikon vs Canon 'argument'!

Personally, I chose the Nikon as it just felt and looked a much nice camera. But that it just my personal opinion. Both are good cameras in their own right. Best get down a camera shop and get a feel for them in your hands and see which one suits you better.

my 2 daughters both have Nikons (D70 and 80 and I think) and they are both very nice camera's. If you want something easy to use then Nikon and Canon aren't the market leaders for nothing.

Personally I am on the lookout for a Pentax or Samsung at the moment, mainly cos I have used a Pentax ME Super which I absolutely loved and some of my old lenses will fit.

the Nikon launched ahead with the release of the D90 with it having HD video capability, but I'm sure Canon came back with another gay lens to compensate for it!!
