90 type 81? engines

can anyone tell me if the fwd 90 (type 81 i think) come with the 2.1/2.2 engine or was it only available in the quattro version? thanks for replies

The Audi 90 CD (FWD Typ 85) came with a 2.0 115bhp 5 pot motor.

The 90 quattro was fitted with the 2.2 motor (136bhp)

thanks coxy, i thought that. i'm looking at a fwd 90 next week - the guy said it was a 2.2 engine but i wasn't sure as its only 2wd.thanks

I'm presuming it's the 90 CD, (basically a posh 80 with the 5 pot motor and velour seats!).

Don't see many around and certainly worth getting one if you can find a goodun'
