Default 100 C.S non start

as some of u kno my car broke down on friday night
Being new to audis i'm not sure if particular faults are common or not

Basically car cut out and wont restart,

i can here a relay clicking when i turn the ignition - but i'm not sure if its the fuel pump relay or the x-relief realy as the manual/fuse box lid dosnt actually stat which one is for the fuel pump............where abouts is the relay?? and also is the fuel pump underneth the car? (like mk2 golfs etc)

I removed the intake to the fuel filter and no fuel came out - but when i cracked off the pipe and tilted the filter up (with it still disconnected) it tried to start????

so still unsure wheather is the pump or just the relay as i cant hear the pump prime when i turn the ignition???

had anyone come across this before??

Thanks again , i hope u can help me
