If it's the slave cylinder there is likely to be clutch fluid escaping from the bottom of the bell housing and dripping out from underneath. If it's the master cylinder you should be able to feel the fluid on the foam backed mat just above the clutch pedal................lovely job !!! Cheers, Steve |

Again on an RR the stud just fits into the master cylinder and you adjust the pedal by moving the nut on the end of the threaded bolt. Ideally you need the old one so you can put it alongside the new one for comparison. |

I have just had this fixed on my 100 q
First off it did it and if you bleed the left caliper it will come bakc up, replaced the clutch salve cylinder and it worked fione for a few months then it happened agian a few weeks back, tried the bleeding the left caliper nothing, this time it was the master cylinder got that replaced and the clutch feels brand new. Total cost was £150 including parts and fitting for the master and if you dont take the part that some idiot mech destroyed the main dealer charged £60 fitting plus £59 for the part |

Exact same thing happened to my URS4, the end which bolts to the peddle box had snapped off the master cylinder, easy I thinks, no problem to change it in-situ, when I went to do it I realised the peddle box itself was cracked and the extra strain being put on the master cylinder had caused the end to break off.................long an short of it my pal ended up being VERY VERY careful and welded in-situ because taking the peddle box out would have been a MAJOR PITA!..............its all fixed now but, but I'd check the peddle box before going any further, if the end is broken off the master cylinder its a new one I'm afraid..........£70 I think from AUDI.
Cheers! |
