Default Lowering Help Urgent!!

I know ive banged on about this before but Im just about to pick up the phone and order my springs. 40 or 60mm I really cant make up my mind up. Say if I go for the 60mm and they break my back with the ride then Ive wasted all that money, also say if I order the 40's and they dont make much difference. I need them for the southern meet so its now or never. Help!

If you go with 60mm, you'll need to change the shox as well.

40 it is then!! cant afford anymore. Surely it will look less like a boat with 40's anyway?

I have 40mm on the CQ i "think" and thats too low for me, exhaust catches on speedbumps etc... I find it a massive inconviniece to be honest but then again the springs on my car are quite soft rating and so theres alot of compression.

I've fitted 60/40 plus -10mm lowering caps on my b3 80 as i found 40mm not enough at the front the suspension has not settled yet as i don't use it much so cant see wot it really looks like i found it drives really nice as the old kit was shoot but was undesided on wot drop to go for so i bite the bullit and went for it

mine as a 40 drop and I would be looking at 60 in the future. Ride was very hard with the 15" wheels on but its a bit softer now I am back on the original 14". The effect of a smaller wheel and larger tyre wall and wheel has made the difference.

Never had any problems with the underneath catching and wouldn't anticipate it with a 60mm

I will measure my rideheight and see what it is in comparison to a standard Coupe Quattro. I have just ordered new top mount rubbers as the current ones are abit worn and so the top caps are sitting proud of the strut tower. Could somebody with a stock Coupe Quattro do some measurements for me? I'm running 15" ronals too.

thanks

Jay
