Got new tyres on coupe, looks better.
Still got this issue with she is sitting really high on the front. Ive looked at loads of pictures of other GT's and they dont look to have as much hight on the front. I changed the rear shocks and springs because they were knackered and that has helped but it still looks to high. What's do I need to do? Chop spings on front, New front shocks....?????? I do want her to sit a bit lower to fill the arches. I want to keep the original 14 Ronal's as I like them...... Help! ![]()

Poop, do you know if it has had the fronts replaced at some point? They might have used springs from a different model with heavier engine for example. The spring rates are important not to forget when changing them. Don't chop em unless you really have to. There are some cheapish lowering kits out there.

I just went onto one of the links the other guys told me about and I can get a set of four new springs for £80 + vat which will drop the car by 40mm.
I dont think the car has ever had the front springs replaced but who knows. She sits a bit like she dragging her arse. Since I had the rear shocks done it looks better but still not right. What do you think of dropping her 40mm all round, cool or stupid!

Yes I agree - lower is always better - a word of caution though - the -40mm springs I bought for my 200E (typ 43) from AVO only lowered the car by approx 10mm - the springs came with a disclaimer to that effect too - be sure to do a before and after measurement

I have 40mm Gmax drop on mine and it doesn't look low enough to me. I am considering a 60mm drop but am not convinced it would make that much difference from where it sits now.
Would be interested to see where you go with this one ![]() |

I just purchased the G-max 60mm!!!
I said I was never going to mess with the orginality of the car, but looking at some of the retro rides out there its got to be done. Emjay as soon as I done it I'll send you pics. If it looks shit I'll put the old ones back in. Do you know if anybody has really dropped a coupe low, and do we have any pics? Poopcoupe
