Default Jetex exhaust

Has anyone got any veiws on Jetex exhaust systems as that's all i can find for my b3 80 ,
as my old janspeed exhaust has cracked and is to far gone to weld . I've repaired it by cutting cracked part out and fitted another bit of pipe and clamped it in place but it sounds
crap

Jetex aren't what they used to be. About 6 years ago I bought a full stainless system for my Golf Mk2 16V. It had a mild steel jetex when I bought it which lasted well but finally holed in the silencer. Anyway, Golfs should be bread and butter for Jetex but the stainless never fitted properly and always hung in a way I wasnt keen despite numerous attepts to fix.

I have always bought Supersprint since. Really well made systems that fit first time. I'm really happy with the one on my Golf V6 and they have a massive range. Worth the extra few quid if you ask me.

Alternatively, Bastuck make some lovely pipes but they are even dearer!

Mine not stainless couldn't stretch that far with funds.Jetex seam to be the only one available for an 80 b3 . I think you may have more of a choice for yours but they do it in stainless for b4 shape

I had a Jetex on my 1991 type 89 '80 Sport Edition, it fitted well and was fruity but quiet. I was very happy with it and it must have been on for a good 4 - 5 years, not problems.

If that is what you have gone for, you won't be disappointed.

cheers,

Steve.
