Flushing out fuel tank

Sorry to hark on about this but I need to flush out my fuel tank which is full of grit. I've freed the gunk using Marine Flush (which is brilliant) now I need to get the rubbish out. Sounds easy but actually it's very difficult as the big hole on top is recessed - anyone got any any ideas? Ta

apart from getting a new fuel tank, I'm not sure.

I'll ask my mechanic when he gets over here.

Unfortunately I went and pulled out the in-tank filter housing - basically I've wrecked the tank. Silly me!

An Audi 200 (type 43) - same as the 100 upto 1982

Thanks for the thought - I found another way!

This is some of what was inside, the metal was actually fine below the crusty gunk!
