nah! not that bad (if you don't drive around all day with it in sports mode!).
Did a 160 mile round trip to Warrington and got 28mpg out of her!

thirsty she maybe but she's as comfy as hell!!

Full leccy leather seats and they are heated!!

and it'll surprise a few at the lights!

Nipped to the garage for me lunch today and on the way back a new focus Tdci thingy with 3 young lads in pulled up next to me, so I put it in sport mode and hoofed it and laffed as he was left helplessly spinning his wheels trying to gain a bit of traction!!
Their faces were a picture!
Very stealthy these old tanks!!

only a couple of phone pics sorry.
It isn't perfect but it's not big money!

Good points:
It's a V8
It's taxed for 5 months
It's got MOT till March
It's a V8
It's got the leather interior
It's a V8!
Only got 71k on the clock
She drives superb and on kickdown in sports mode she is very responsive!

Bad points
Drivers seat heater intermittent
A small dent/crease on the pass door
Small amount of rust bubbles on the drivers door where the rubber trim meets the door.
There's an area about 6" sq on the front of the bonnet where the lacquer has lifted and has also affected some of the basecoat but not the primer.
Handrbake is crap but it's an auto quattro so just put it in park and lock all 4 wheels up instead of just the back 2!
Rears pads have wear left but light on dash says they need changing. I have bought a new set of rear pads and they will go with the car.
drivers side rear leccy window switch in-op.
Bonnet has had a respray at some point as it's a slightly bluer shade of silver.
Not much history.
Those are just a few of the niggles which you could either fix or live with. Nothing major, just being honest and telling it like it is!

The car was laid up for several years in a garage and several hundred pounds was spent by the last owner recomissioning it. Belts/fluids were changed within the last 5k miles.

Thanks Coxy, I appreciate your efforts to enthuse me with a V8 "equipped" Audi avant. Yes, it has a V8 in it but it isn't a V8... and that small difference is everything for my personal taste in body shape. I'm sorry, I just don't like the type4A styling as much as the type44, it's just too "ordinary" and doesn't stand out from the rest of the C4 range. At least a V8 or a 200 had more differences to its lesser stable mate models.

If I had the resources and the room, I'd convert a type44 avant with a V8 engine and nose
