There's strong evidence to suggest that pasties actually originated in Devon. But fear not you still have cornish ice cream

Rather like the tolls on the M4; facing the wrong direction!

Don't knock it till you've tried it...no better place to live, altho' second choice would be Scotland for sure....but then I AM a recluse and become more so with the passing years!

As for the South East, every time I visit, about once a year on average, I can't wait to get home....

Well I am glad my post didn't degenerate into mud slinging....

I am all for good hearted banter (I work in the oil industry so trust me I know) but some comments on certain threads had crossed the line in my opinion and it's not what I joined this forum for

Now then time to get off thine soapbox and feed me pigeons, walk the whippet and cook me pie for tea....

That will never happen, a pie beats a pasty any day of the week and twice on Sundays!

A group of Wiganers are in London for the Rugby League cup final when they come across a pub with a sign outside advertising 'A PIE, A PINT AND A WOMAN...A QUID'
Bert turns to Alf and says 'go ask em whos pies are they'

Wiganers take their pies very seriously
