That's the plan now mate. Might get some welding done on the boot floor if i get all the material's ready and the car inside. While saving up the blasting. Media or sand ?? looking at one for least panel distortion.

Where I go they recommended sand for price reasons. They do use other media but depending on what makes quite a big difference.

If they know what they are doing and have done car shells before you should be ok.

On the panels that you see ie the roof they do not need to hit it hard as it will be just paint. So they can do it from a further distance.

Underneath though if you want every spec of underseal off, they have to be pretty aggressive. They said the easiest technique is to start at the back and once a small section has started to lift, get someone to hold a flap of it up with a long bit of wire etc and they can peel it as its blasted from an angle. This way gave less distortion and removed 99% of the horrid stuff.

I would seriously wait before any welding though as you will get an 80% nicer cleaner weld when all the metal is clean. Rather than seam sealer and old paint setting on fire, cause it most certainly does set on fire, real quick and it stinks horrid too.
