Took it all apart, and hoovered it.

Put it back together, no better.

Ordered new MoBo battery, then spotted an identical computer on ebay for £50, so bought that as well, just swap the hard disc over, and then got a whole computer for spares!!!!

Oh well, I did say you had nothing to lose... hoovering is best done in conjunction with a stiff bristled brush to dislodge the solidified dust. I've done it countless times to overheating PC cases and PSUs but normally blast them with a compressed airline with a trigger nozzle attached at a local garage, nothing can cling on under that amount of air movement

Have you got it working again and was it just a mobo battery?

Still not working, waiting for the battery to arrive. The batteries can cause all sorts of turning on problems apparently.

I hoovered it with the "brush" attachment, I might try it again with the compressed air once the other computer has arrived.

Can't believe I managed to buy a whole computer for £50! (ebay seller with 2500 +ve feedbacks)

Put my HDD in the new computer, all works fine now.

Will back it up now...........
