What front end are you aiming to have on this car when finished?
Group4?, sport quattro?, or standard?

Think im picking up some unused A2 Front wings in fibreglass on wed's (Fund's allowing).
That "JUST"leaves rear 3/4's,front and rear bumpers and sills.Grille and bonnet. A2 mate . . . . ![]() |

Has anyone got any pictures under the bonnet of the A2 with the bullnose grill. Only asking cause if they fit similar to the sport Quattro the whole front panel is removed anyway and is replaced by custom brace bars.
Just trying to save you time and money if you dont need to replace the front of your shell.

the front panel is rotten all over really. A custom front end would maybe be a idea. If i can get my hands on a front panel cheapish. Would that be of any use. Considering the mounting points for the lights and grille could be adapted onto a current front end. Cut out what's not needed? How did you work it on the SQ LWB recreation?. Or are the grille's totally different |

Here you go, do you see what I mean.
See the 2 black brace bars down the inner wings, they are to support the front brace bar which the bumper mounts to. It makes getting the front end off and the engine in and out a doddle. ![]() ![]()

Thanks for that Brian.
Didnt have a clue thats how they worked it. The pic i have attached. The areas inside the red are not needed at all?? The areas surrounded in green are needed for the light bracket's. Then a custom metal strip joining the 2 (were the original bonnet shut would of been) For supporting the grille and electric's if need be? Bonnet pins as seen on the picture i posted a few posts ago still be okay? Top lad Mate ![]() |
