Hey dan, I have replied to the thread over at Audifans forum. Here is the post copied onto here regarding teh car:

Update on the car as it stands. We have it back at home now, and I will be going back home just after thursday birthday fun, for the weekend. We will have a good look over the old car, check how she runs again, and get as many pictures as possible. Hopefully the MOT will be done this week as well, we shall just see if our mechanic has the time.

Then we will start thinking about viewing and trying to get her fine ass to a new home

Hey

Sorry for the lack of replies this week, recovering from my birthday last weekend and preparing to go away for 2 weeks to sunny France on Sunday.

The car was driving fine last weekend, and was going up and down the driveway nicely

Gave her a scrub and a polish on the main visible panels, but will give her a proper going over to remove any speckles of road tar etc, then a polish and a wax topcoat when im back from the holiday.

All seemed fine in the engine bay, although there looks like there was some rust at the back of the bay behind the drivers side front wing. As I'm away, and it seems our mechanic is too, will aim to get MOT done in the coming weeks, then il go get proper pics and a full description of the car done hopefully the week after. So looking at mid-august (fingers crossed) to put a firm price on and get some of you fine gentlemen over to have a look.

I took some glorious looking pictures at the weekend, but they didn't save on my memory card, so atm no pics, which I soo wanted to get up as a teaser

Looking to get the big update up around the weekend of sunday 10th, then we can get cracking with the sale.

hope the car find a nice good well looked after home it is still in gret condition and i hope the new owner gives it a paint job as the car is mint

Right it's been a while with holiday away.

Pics going up tonight. MOT still hasn't been done as the car wasn't picked up on saturday, but being pushed through this week or I damn hope so next at the very latest.

Took more pics this weekend gone and am going back for the next 2 weekends to get her as clean as can be, and get all the information on her from my father and great uncle (if he remembers

).

So Im hoping to get people round to see it asap with her MOTd + Taxed, and decide upon a price.

Ok, firstly apologies. I'm taking a while to get this sorted and am only releasing snippets of info here and there, have been a little torn over selling her, but she is definately going and I will get price up as well as all details, and pics of everything [bad and good] as soon as I possibly can.

I'm very busy with work atm plus have a lot of interested parties in the car, so am not going to sell to the first person. Many thanks for the offer vickytlc it is very tempting, but I'm still getting the car looking as nice as possible, and most importantly will be finding out as much as I can about it. My dad mentioned the possibility that the rear bumper is not original, and a replcement from another 80. It is things like this, and getting her through the MOT and drivable that matter atm.

You will all get your chance to have a look ;D

Back onto a few more images. I have posted her with just the main exterior cleaned and polished up and some interior pics after a quick hoover. All these to wet your appetite, and will get a full catalogue of pictures sorted otherwise I will just be posting here and there.

Please have a little more patience, not long now
