Full advert ready for sale on page 3
Thanks for posting it up, registered here as well but forgot to post it up. Here is everything copied and pasted. Hi, my first post, and the car for sale: 1974 Audi 80GL with ~60k on the clock. This is also posted on a number of other forums, trying to get maximum exposure, as my father is about to sell it for a couple of hundred to some guy who is interested on taking it as is without MOT. Would love to keep it, but I live in London (thus no car here) and the car is located near to Milton Keynes (Junction 14 M1) It has been in my great uncles garage for over 5 years, with the tax disc dated as 2002. Got it out and it was seriously dusty, but after a wash down it looks something like this: ![]() Red, the original sliding sunroof, new tires all round before going into storage, all original chrome, and has been in the family since new. We gave it some TLC and got it started, and it seemed to run very nicely, so pretty impressed after 5yrs storage, and kudos to my dad for that. There are some rust patches on the bottom of the door on passenger and driver side, and a few other little imperfection/small dents on some other parts of the car. I can’t remember all of them as I only saw the car for a few hours last month when the pics were taken, but overall the car is in great nick. If it doesn’t go and someone is interested and wants an MOT, we will get that sorted, silencer needs replacing as it seems to have a hole, but other than that it should pass. Now the main part, any interest and what is something like this worth, as is, and with an MOT/tax/silencer fixed. I really don’t want some random to take this for a couple of hundred (father said this so probably 200 at most ), and would like it to go to a good home where someone can get it back to pristine condition. More pics, and feel free to e-mail me at: adfinni [AT] hotmail [DOT] com PRICE: Well we shall see. Not going to let it go for peanuts and want to find out exactly how much it is worth. Looking at getting it cleaned up and polished well, especially the chrome, then get her through teh MOT. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hey
Replied to your post on audi-fans. Well back in 2002 i was offered this car or a 93 sunny SR hatchback as my first car by my relatives, you can guess which one I chose at that age ![]() ![]() Love my sunny, but now I havemassive respect for these types of cars, and think they look stupidly cool. If I was at home with the parents I would definately keep it and work on it, spend good money on it. But Im in London now, and living in a flat means certainly no way to restore, plus money down here doesn't go very far. My father has a reliant scimitar as a neverending project car, but enjoys driving around in his stag too much to bother with that. He isn't reay to take on another project, thus reluctantly we have to let it go. He is the registered owner, but was given to me, and we had to come to this decision together. Really really sad to be honest, especially after washing her down and getting her running again that day when the pics were taken, but would love to see her go to a new owner who will really give her some TLC and get her looking really really special !!!! Hey, I'm very interested in your car. I've been looking for an iberian red B1 for quite some time as my dad had a 1975 L the same colour, which he managed to keep going until 1991, and by that stage it had purple wings, and one green door!!
I want to buy another and give it to him as he always talks about his old audi. How much do you want for it?? Is it driving?? I live in Dublin Ireland, would I need to trailer it home?? |

I also dont expect you to give it away, I'm willing to pay a decent price as I have been looking for one for a long time, and they are almost impossible to find in rhd these days
Cheers, Dan |
