Took a mate's jaguar xjr to an MOT a few weeks ago. Failed on emissions. CO was 11.5%. Onboard computer said it was doing 8mpg. I weakened the mixture enough to get it to pass, and on the way back I managed to get the mpg up to an impressive 11.
He'd only put a tenner's worth of petrol in it, so even driving it as carefully as I did, it only had enough for another 5 miles. Glad my 3.2 does more than that (22). |
