Hi Kit fuel pump arrived safe n sound thanking you

Re the PAS pump , I wonder if that would be the same as a 2.3 NG engine? (Cabriolet ), could you confirm the part number ?
And is it in full working order?

Cheers Chris

Thanks for letting me know Chris.

The PAS pump will be good I don't keep them if they're noisy or leaking.

I think it is the same as on NG motors but will give it a clean and check the part number for you.

Woke up at 02.30, wide awake so have been in the workshop since sorting through my parts mountain, still haven't even started in my tools!.: crazy:

Just taking a break to have a Coffee and some breakfast.

I've decided to break my 1997 C4 30 Valve 2.8 quattro. want quite a bit of stuff for my C4 100 Avant quattro but there will be a lot stuff up for grab.

Nice black cloth sports interior, minus the walnut trim (this is going in my 100) £100.

Black velour interior from my 1992 100, in excellent condition. FREE

Got full leather for my 100 Avant, perfect for me, hard wearing and wipe clean!

Instrument panel, fully working £100.

Tailgate, £50.

Bonnet, straight. £50.

ACK 30V engine, can be heard running, £300. Done 180K with FSH. Runs perfectly.

Gearbox, nice and smooth, £200.

Rear diff, again no issues. £150.

Prop, £100.

Drive shafts £150 an axle set complete with CV joints and boot's

Dash board, free to collector.

Door's £50 each.

All air-con stuff is being retained as I'm considering installing the system into my 100 Avant, it still works which is a good start. Also got a cruise control set up in fit so I'll have a super high spec C4 100.

Will take some photo's a bit latter. The car is broken as I can get a fortune for the cats and I want a lot of the good parts to keep my C4 Avant on the road until I die.

I will not be driving a modern car, even if cornered by armed hippies.

The RS2 is my project car and the 100 is going to be a luxurious daily driver, simple. What could be green than running an old car forever. I bet it'll save considerably more carbon than the tat that's getting sold these days, total rubbish IMO.

Also found a complete set of S2 Coupe/B3 Coupe black leather front door cards, the early type.

Trim and foam still very stable om the fronts, the rears are a bit loose but once the trim strips are installed they will be fine £150 ONO.

Didn't even know I had these.

Pic's to follow.

Simple = good, in my book.

Totally agree with your thinking. I wonder what will happen in 10 years time when all that overcomplicated, poorly made tat gets abandoned en masse because they need extortionate new batteries, or repairs to complicated electronics. Most people don't own this stuff anyway.

I was watching a video on a new 1500hp Bugatti. It didn't impress, apart from the warp speed acceleration. Do I really need to pay £5,000 extra for painted calipers. Is that 3D printed titanium tailpipe necessary? No it isn't and it sounded sh*t too.

The only modern supercar I'd buy is Gordon Murray Automotive's T50 or T33. Even then, he'll be forced to go electric eventually. He's got the right thinking. Nothing on the car that doesn't do anything. Simple shapes. Round exhausts. Serviceable and maintainable by the owner.

Sorry for the waffle and derail. I'll find a thread for this conversation!
