Fuel Tank - ur

My current tank was sealed, but unfortunately the stuff the garage used has not ‘taken’ and is bubbling up.

Before I need to go sell my soul, has anyone got a spare tank they are willing to part with?

Or able to point me in the direction of a fabricators that can make a ur/motorsport tank?

I have a similar issue. Having spent years putting the car together and dealing with the numerous issues, my last problem turned out to be a blockage in the tank. So I am now thinking, do I clean out the tank or do I buy an alloy one off ebay?

I will watch with interest to see what replies you get.......

I also have a blocked fuel tank in my own Ur quattro, the fuel tank is removed and ready to get packed for pick up next week, I have a price for a new alloy fuel tank constructed from 3mm alloy to match the existing Audi fuel tank, as soon as I have the new tank I will start a new thread with lots of photos and cost.

So where these mount onto the car, might be susceptible to a little, but continuous movement - something a steel tank will be ok with. Is aluminium going to be absolutely OK with this?
