Ha, bit of poetic licence maybe..?!!
By the time of the B3 90 2.2E the KV unit was being badged more appropriately!

I had a couple back in the 80s, awesome cars. Got one being rebuilt with an ABY, thinking I might put the KK in an early coupe GT 🤔

I sold mine around June '91 when I went to Uni. Too expensive for a student budget!
It was a great car, always wished I could have hung onto it.

From Volkswagen Audi Car magazine, January 1984...….







I kept this mag as this exactly how my 80q looked, even similar reg. Zermatt Silver and the same steel wheels/trims. Many had the Ronal alloy options fitted.

Funnily the 80q s that I had back then (one in 85, the other in 86) were also Zermatt on steel wheels. My current one was Mars Red (just a bare shell at the moment), It came on Ronals but also has a set of steels/hub caps. Mind, could yet go back on the road on a set of Fuchs 😁

My inspiration (except for dodgy front spoiler!). The 80q of Reinhard Rhode, complete with UR running gear and Fuchs.. back in 1983... Proving that a modded 80q is totally in keeping with the period! 😂
