I've had 2. An S8 and a 3.7 quattro sport.

I've always had facelift cars which are usually better specced and have better interiors. gearbox and steering rack killed the 3.7

Agreed the facelift cars are much nicer.

A lot of car for the money. A scabby Ur quattro would cost more.

Three things would put me off that one without even viewing it,

1, It is not a Sport, so no Recaros, which are a must on these, compared to the standard seats.
2, No mention of a gearbox rebuild/replacement, only a fluid change. A ticking timebomb, sadly.
3, It is not a Sport. Did I mention how good the Recaros are in the Sport?

Still a lot of car for the money.

There's one up for sale near me, £750 with a full test. Only a 3.8 and not a sport. As I live in an (ex-) Council House, think it should be a fitting council estate car

Very tempted to have it for knocking about in.
