I dreamt of the Gordini.

All that mattered back then was the 0-60 time

I even considered a Nissan Cherry turbo WTF coz it had a fast 0-60.

You don't see many of the Renault 5 left now though

I saw one in the summer and couldn't get over how small it was.

Can't believe I used to drive one.

I wouldn't feel safe in one now

Upgraded to a B reg Escort Xr3i after the Renault before starting my love affair with a long line of MG classics coz they were cheap to insure.

I will have to dig out the piccies.

Pics of the XR3i would be good. Still one of my favourite cars.

My old one.

I would love a Caspian Blue one like this.

Lol

Yeah just like the red one. Even down to the after market spotlights.

Although I went a step further and put some plastic sort of latticed grills over the spots, sprayed the same colour as the car.

I think I colour matched the wipers as well.

What was I thinking???

I don't have photos to hand of my first, but have just bought this, which is a complete recreation!

Vauxhall Viva HB 2 door Delux in Saxon Blue, 1967.

Now that really makes me feel better about my 80 Sport project. Even though its not Audi, hope you will be able to post up pictures of your restoration.
