Default type 81 or type 85 front strut housings

Due to the front strut housing on my type 85 having been mullered by the company that did its air ride conversion I need a replacement pair. Obviously (or not) I don't need/want the damper inserts, springs, brakes, hubs etc.. but I'm flexible id someone has complete front struts and doesn't want the hassle of dismantling them.

Effectively I just need the black metal strut tube/hub carrier..

Anyone help? especially in the south..

Default struts

Fit a pair from the first batch of the later series 3 80's. Same strut legs but with wider/larger caliper mounting bolts so big brakes can be easily fitted as I did on mine. Can find part numbers if your interested. Steve Cresswell of C&R told me about these and it meant I could fit the 280mm discs from a G60 Corrado (with slight alteration for the PCD difference) and that looks factory installed. Have the article on it somewhere if interested. Send PM.

When you say series 3 80's do you mean type 89's?

If so does that mean early type 89's had one piece struts, laters going to seperate struts and hub carriers..?
