Thanks Steve,
It really surprised me how "down" I felt after the quattro and Evo had gone, bit pathetic really.
Money in the bank is nice but regret is a bad thing to deal with so I thought "*** it", the missus is easily talked into a convertible, it's an auto, its got a big boot and the kids can sit in the back (ok they might have to become amputates!). Worse comes to worse and I'll sell it , although, thanks to the Lancias increase in value, I'll probablly be no worse of for the experience.
Happy Days

its not a bad idea but tbh it's not as shiny as it looks in the picture so I'm happy to live with it for the time being. i'm trying not to spend any where as much time fiddling with this one as I've done in the past, to be honest I just mess it up

hang on,,,,,,,, I see Ians replying again

No chance of that with a quattro, strangely enough....

Either way, i remember watching the Top Gear episode where JC drove one across the Pennines, and have seen many at Goodwood... A fine motorcar... And enough space for Golf Clubs in the boot too!

Thanks Ian, and despite the lack of roof it is quite a fine motorcar
(apparently you can get 2 sets of clubs in the boot- never, ever, tried it though tbh!)

Shooting rats with Mark I tend to be the humane one and go for a head shot. Mark says this is untidy because you have to go and clear up the corpses. He goes for a belly shot with a vermin pellet - they have flat heads so they fragment inside the rat and pretty much destroy the body cavity, but the rat remains mobile for a bit and runs squealing for its burrow. Disposes of the body, says Mark.

But they don't half make a racket. Mark's just bought and renovated a Parker Hale Dragon that is damn near silent even right at the legal limit (like a PCP) so the first thing you hear is the squealing when the pellet arrives at 570fps.

But you're right - they do shift a bit.
