Hi,
Should be selling one of my cars in the next few days or so, it is currently SORN. When it is sold, it won't be going back on the road, so the new owner will have to SORN it straight away (as the SORN notice is for ME and the car, not just the car) How does the new owner go about doing this, bearing in mind he will only have the tear off bit of the V5, as I will send off the big bit??? I suppose it is all here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...cle/DG_4022058 but if the new owner doesn't do it straight away (i,e. on the date of sale), then they will be liable for the fine, as in the intervening few days, it is not SORN, and the DVLA are a bunch of (INSERT WORDS HERE)......... So, buy car, get home, SORN on line straight away....... |
