Default 2.0 GT5 cold start problems

hi - im a newbie to the forum having just purchased retrorejects old car
http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ead.php?t=5067
and I could do with some advice. overall im pleased with the condition of the car and it drove fine back from dorset to cornwall, engine very strong and pulls really well (and souds great!!!) only problem (so far!) is that on cold start it has quite a bad misfire for the first 5 minutes or so right through the rev range. once the engine is warmed up this disappears and runs fine, although the idle is very low and intermittently cuts out as a result. ive checked through the history and its had new rotor arm dizzie cap plugs and leads recently, and in general has been well serviced throughout its life and only at 116k miles at the moment. any suggestions on what to look for? is it possible that it juns needs the idle set and a good tune or is it likely to be an irritating electrical gremlin?
