Retroreject's old car on the bay! The new owner has only had it about two months so I wonder why he's selling?!

hi Im new to the forum...please can anyone give more info on this car as I am interested in buying it if the price is right having previously owned an identical one with a lot more mileage that I miss driving loads. I have contacted the seller and all sounds good having had no welding or rust issues and mechanically sound and reliable, but with only a small amount of history?

What info are you after? I sold my other tizian red GT to the previous owner...if that makes sense!
I've been out in car as a passenger, very smooth and the engine's quiet (unfortunately in my view!). It does have a glass sunroof though (pop-up/tilt back) which isn't the right one. It's a great example in my opinion, not sure on why the new owner is selling it though as he's only had it a couple of months! Ask him! He says that he's fitted 40mm lowering springs. The ride height looks completely standard to me so I reckon someone has sold him some standard springs and told him they're lowering springs! A small amount of history isn't necessarily a bad thing, the car seems to be very well looked after last time I looked at it. |

I know the guy selling it. He's a bit fussy with cars. Likes something one minute, changes his mind the next. Absolutley nothing needs doing to this car mechanically. Drives well and will be a good buy for someone.
![]() Has had 40mm springs fitted which were lowered ones. Bodywork is very straight. No rust whatsoever. Underside is solid. i personally fitted new cambelt, new rear shoes, cv joints, plugs, filters etc |

oh and it's not a 5S either, it looks fuel injected, no sign of a carburettor anywhere looking at the pictures. Then again I have been drinking gin tonite

you're spot on... It's a 1994cc Fi JS engine in an early type 85 shell... The only GT engine to cross-over between the Type series (81 to 85) was the Fi 1994cc JS...
