apologies for the possible sacriledge.....
been reading up on this in a few places (and bothering people for help), used the search etc. I already have a spec'd AEB which is why I'm looking for a coupe quattro but can't find anyone over here who has got one up and running in a B3 or B4. Would be great to get some concrete info on it, while I understand that the 5 pot 'boxes have multi fit bellhousings for 4 and 5 pot engines, I have read that the input shaft from the 'box is too long for the 1.8t.....on a total tangent I have read that some of the V6 bellhousings are a suitable pattern for 1.8t fitment!! Can anyone please give some solid info? ![]() |

5 cylinderand 4 cylinder quattro boxes have different bellhousings..... Not a multifitment sadly.
A type89 4cylinder quattro is what you'd need.

No Idea what the yanks got but i can guarentee a 4cylinder bellhousing differs from a 5cylinder by a bit... I have both here, a 4cylinder 016 quattro box and enough 5 cylinders to run a rally team!
I dont think audi has ever made a mulitfitment box.... It doesnt seem logical from a manufacturer perspective.
