Got my 272 from G-werks. Great service though maybe not the cheapest

Can you give me a comparison of the standard cam and the 272 please emjay, in terms of the power delivery and drivability?

I am not an expert by any means Kit. This thread documents the work I am having done on a cylinder head for my coupe by 4V6 (Tony) on this forum.

http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...ead.php?t=3672

The 272 from what I understand is a mild road cam (as opposed to a fast road cam). I chose it as I didn't want to go the full fast road route as I wanted the car to be driveable. Booty and Isimmo are both fitting 276 cams to their rally reps but clearly we are talking different cars and mods for different reasons.

Whatever you choose a cam on it's own may not make a huge difference and I am not expecting to have a super powered engine at the end of the day. That's the reason why I chose to have the head ported and polished etc. It's a bit more expensive but I would rather have it done right first time. And believe me Tony knows his onions.

Anyway take a look at the thread when you have a few minutes. You could also try Isimmo who has a wealth of experience with Schrick cams.
