has anyone got these on a car? reason i ask is, if you happen to be running a 195 width could you please measure how wide the top of the tread is before it tapers away? As i've heard that different makes/models of tire can vary a bit in there 'true' width when compared to the identical tire size of another manufacturer.

For example, the tires that came with my borbets seem quite [square] and seem wide for a 195/50/16 tire when compared to the 205/50/15's that were on the GT.


I'm just wondering if these vredestein sportrac 3 might have a more favorable true width and side tread taper, as these were the tires i would most like to buy.

Lynn's A4 uses 205 width sportrac3, They have a good tread pattern and grip well wet or dry but the true width is a bit less than 205 and do 'taper' as you put it.
