Forget the dacia, the ride is dreadful.

Out of that lot, thinking ride and reliability, either a kia or hyundai. It's not at all cool to say it, 10 years ago I wouldn't have, but now they're building some cracking cars

But personally, I'd get something older. I bought a 2003 ibiza 1.9 tdi for 700 quid in September. I drive the balls off it everywhere, it goes like stink. Over 15k miles, it's done 50mpg and all its had is a tax disc, a service, a cv joint and some tyres. Yep, a few electrical bits don't work right, but given the price, I really don't care.
