I found this on mine you need to have the idle switch made for the ECU to go into idle mode. Tried to get mine to idle at 1000rpm as exhaust note is better

but it wasn't happy staying there and would not be consistent so went back to 800rpm again.
How's your Lambda

MAF fault unlikely at idle (so long as idle switch working) as it doesn't need it. Know this as during rebuild I used to reverse car in and out the garage on idle with all the intake before the turbo removed and MAF disconnected. If it runs OK apart from idle MAF should be, but not necessarily, healthy.
Are you getting a supply to the idle stabiliser...
