right its all shit again, wont idle below 1200rpm, it dies, then, raised the idle and its hunting, disconnect the aav, does not hunt but lifting the throttle on overrun and it feels like its cutting out,
maf , lambda??, its shunting when i drive, tearing me hair out
any ideas

or could it be the throttle switch, as it worsened when i screwed out the damper to increase the idle speed,,,,,,petrol and a match is waiting

I found this on mine you need to have the idle switch made for the ECU to go into idle mode. Tried to get mine to idle at 1000rpm as exhaust note is better but it wasn't happy staying there and would not be consistent so went back to 800rpm again.
How's your Lambda
MAF fault unlikely at idle (so long as idle switch working) as it doesn't need it. Know this as during rebuild I used to reverse car in and out the garage on idle with all the intake before the turbo removed and MAF disconnected. If it runs OK apart from idle MAF should be, but not necessarily, healthy.
Are you getting a supply to the idle stabiliser...

messing with the idle switch has just about cured it, i am going to re solder the connections on the inside of the throttle switch,
phil , do you mean fuel pressure?
the maf and lambda are both 4yrs + and 40k minimum, so they are next, on the list, ,,where is a good source?

resoldered connections, helped , but a new lambda[ces] for 70 squids , car has never run better
