Photo Request

After a long day of quattro problems i may have a reckoning thought.... But i need assistance.

Does anybody have some photos of a Coupe Quattro Metering head, from a car with ABS... If they do, could you please post here, or even better someone with access to the car could check the order the injectors fit the metering head.... I've had fuel problems from day one but put down to misfire from wrong spark plugs... may have a lead on the lines being wrong way round and the ignition timing being nearly 10degree out :wierdo: Yes I spent 2hours today trying to fix an oil leak from distributor and then get it timed up properly.

Thanks for stating the obvious but there are variations the metering head and as such i want to clarify if mine is indeed the correct metering head. Its different to three non abs cars i've checked so next port of call is to check ABS cars....

There is no firing order on the k jet for the injectors

The meetering head will have a plate attached to it with a number you can then se if it the same as another head i have one at work from a GT5E i'll check the number when i'm next down the workshop

I realise its constant injection but swapping the lines over in order to the standard CQ order caused big misfiring.... nothing else was touched.

I still think two lines may be in the incorrect position causing a slight misfire and sluggishness.

Strange, did you pull the injectors ? maybe the 0 ring sealis leaking ? or the insert loose in the head ?

Injectors is next port of call, if i'm going to be replacing seals and inserts i'll probably do the lot and get 5 injectors.

If its stating the obvious then why are still stating that the position has an affect? The fact that you have disturbed the lines will be the reason.

my Coupe quattro has ABS but it will be later today before I can get a picture.

You can PM your e-mail address and I'll send it to you

Regarding the timing, unleaded adjustment will take the timing to 14-18 degrees BTDC from standard setting of 6 deg BTDC so it may not be 10 degrees out after all
