Default Foglights

If you think its foggy enough to use foglights why do you think its safe enough to drive at 90mph?
Drove up the ever so slightly foggy M1 this morning and the "fast lane" was full of beemers and A4s driving with their fog lights on and right up each others arse . I could see them from miles away as they headed off over the horizon to their ever so important meeting.
Nothing against speeding (but not right behind someone else) and all for fog lights but not together please
And as i finish my rant, one last thought, they're "foglights" not " its spotting with rain" lights!

I thought they were "move-outta-fukkin'-way-matey-I'm-in-a-bloody-hurry" lights.

Only time I ever see them on is in daylight with good visibility driven by nobs in bimmers and Saxo's.

I always drive with dipped beam, period, even in bright sunlight. Visibility is crucial nowadays out on the murderous roads. A friend of mine who has his own business and has an 'O' licence for 6 trucks will ' discipline / sack' any of his drivers if they are spotted without lights on. I have had lots of chats with insurance company reps / owners over the years and in the case of an insurance stand off, having your lights on, and having it proved, and you can, might win the day. Not to mention the safety aspect of visibility. Foglights though are a pain in the arse at times.

on some cars, the "indication" that the fog light is on is on the switch itself, and if the switch is near the ignition key (like on VWs) then you can't see it that easily.

Should shoot a few though!
