Like the title says really.
If I stick a single Weber (rejetted) onto a 1.8 DZ Engine, what power am I likely to see? |

I reckon about 600bhp!!!
It'll be faster than the General Lee 80 as well! What's wrong with the fuel injection system on it? Doubt you'd see much of a power increase going from fi to a single weber, maybe even a drop. Maybe a pair of 40's but a single one isn't going to give you much in the way of power gains. |

RTFQ. Who said I was going from fuel injection???
You don't know what it is going in!!! 80CL currently has 1.6 DT engine with single Weber. I have 3 kids and not much spare cash. Got 2 DZ engines in the garage and a carb manifold. So, how many BHP? 100? 110? |

I had 120bhp and 144 foot pounds of torque on a single weber twin choke.
Fitted to a PB code digifant golf. Had a lovely habit of scaring the hell out of so called quicker motors...give it a try and see if it works for you. ![]() |

If I wanted crap mpg and crap round town driveability, twin 40s would be the way to go.
If I wanted 30mpg and driveability I would go for ITBs from www.badger5.co.uk I just wanted an answer like 4V6 has given. This should be a virtually zero cost upgrade. |
