A1 in Nottinghamshire Closed

Just to give you guys the heads up early doors....If anyone is travelling down the A1 through Nottinghamshire today, check the Sat Nav first. We closed it in both directions this morning between Markham Moor Island and Newark. In fact I would avoid it at all costs!!!...Also expect delays on the M1, M18 and surrounding areas because of the closure..

It may be lifted later on this morning but it may remain closed for the next 24hrs.... Nitey Nite!!!...

Aye!...Twas rather warm on arrival, luckily I had a bag of Marks and Spencers finest Marshmallows, which were then lightly toasted,.... on the end of my multi tool and consumed rapidly, prior to the arrival of Trumpton!

Hehe!!...Only joking!....Those poor sods will still be there. They have got to cool the gas cylinders for up to 24hrs before removal...200 metre exclusion zone, hence the closure..

We've just spent 8 days at an acetylene fire in Bristol. We set up a 200m cordon for 1 cylinder - this place fills cylinders with the stuff and there were over 1000! HSE had a field day!
