I have a Serpent 1/10 scale nitro model

60 odd mph flat out if not more. McLaren F1 GTR body in the euno clinic Le Mans winning livery.

2.5cc engine with a 2 speed centax clutch, 2 wd disc brake independant suspension all round

I had a 1/8th scale which was 4wd, 3.5cc and 2.5hp @36000 rpm... YES 36,000 rpm.....thats 700bhp PER LITRE to scale think about that for a sec. 1 litre engine with 700bhp normally aspirated as well !!!!!

0-60 mph about 2 seconds, 2 speed centax clutch as well running group C bodies

here see these:

http://www.serpent.com/product/909012/

I was the 1994 ( i think) Mendip champion in group C in my class

this was my hobby in the 90's, we made up our own fuel... it was supposed to be 25% by volume nitro methane, but we ran 80%

Awesome! I've got mine from a few years ago, trouble is they've all been involved in some kind of accident at some point and now need parts!

unfortunately mine was stolen at Mendip race circuit, car was broken into and the whole lot was nicked, spare engines, radio gear, futaba force 3 i think it was called... any way it was a 500 quid digital controller... 1/8th model and a 1/10 model nicked, fuel the whole bloody lot went!!

eventually my Navy kit insurance paid up after a fight with the insurance ombudsman.

I bought the championship winning 1/10TH SCALE CAR which I still have, only been on a track with me driving it a few times then I ended up deploying so its sits in my cupboard now

far too fast for the street/ and noisy

I have a losi xxt from the early 90's. It's brushless now and it's nuts
2WD so it's really hard to get any power down but once moving it really flies !
I need to keep it away from the skateparks though as spares are fast running out for these cars
