Default Wiring up stereo in q90 B2 Type85?

Got the OLD cassette deck out and want to fit my new Blaupunkt system.
Before taking out old system went on Ebay bought an adapter for my Blaupunkt,to fit my car. Also I bought connector for my Blaupunkt, with connectors on end so you can crimp the car wire to it.
Took cassette deck out and someone has butchered the wiring, they,ve cut off the original car connector blocks.
I,ve sussed out the 8 speaker wires.
There are 4 car wires and I,m not too sure what they are for.
Blue+black-Red+black-Brown-White.
Could anyone PLEASE post this part of the wiring diagram, for my car?
Thanks,Karl.

Karl,

I had the same problem on mine.

Just get a mutlimeter and go through the wires in turn, checking:
a. voltage
b. continuity to earth

with ignition on and off.

This way you will find permanent live, switched live and earth (beware, I used the wire off the cigarette lighter, and even though it is switched, somehow it still drains my battery (as the radio display is on very dimly).

Cheers

Steve

What? Where did u get that? At the moment I have only one manufacturer, whose cars have cigarette lighters that is on only with ignition on, in mind - and it's opel. Audi cigarette lighters are permanently connected to battery.

Red/black here will be power in parallel with cigarette lighter, brown is earth, white will be signal for antenna HF amplifier, what is blue/black, check yourself, although that must be from ignition.

Sorry. I have wired it to the supply for the light to the cigarette lighter that also illuminates the ashtray. That drains the battery.

Not to the actual supply for the lighter itself.

Then maybe something is wrong with your radio or something isn't correctly connected.

In this case "right" is only equal to "original", correctly wired ISO connector is better anyway.

If I remember correctly when I converted the quattro to ISO connectors, the wires are as follows:

White - electric aerial power
brown - earth
red / black - 12v
blue/black - illumination
