As many of you are aware the early coupes usually came in a two tone paintjob. Take a look at Coxy's quadder and you'll see what I mean. The lower front spoiler and door bottoms are different to the rest of the body.
Now I have it on authority from the previous owner of my coupe that mine was no different. It was originally a two tone paintjob. Problem is we don't know what colour was the lower colour as Gobi was not officially available in the UK at the time. Steve does claim to have some photo's but they can't be found at the moment So can anyone shed any light on the orginal two tone colour scheme. There is a reason for asking. I am hoping to finally tackle the Zender kit over the winter break and I was thinking I may pay homage to the original colour scheme by having the kit sprayed in the 2nd "lower" colour. What do you think? |
