I thought I’d start a couple of threads with photos of the Audi Sport rally drivers from the 80’s , as well as the racing drivers, through to current day.

I'll start with the First Lady of Rally - and the fastest lady of all time Michèle Mouton.

nice footage ,but the end with the two white quattros was brill, back in 1981 or 82 on the then rac rally i meet michele mouton on the halfway and cracyhan stages, she had problems with the quattro and retire there was over 15 guy pushing her out of a big ditch where she went off in halfway and retired from the rac which was a pity, as she was within the top 5 then , but such a lovely lady and really polite too bearing in mind in was an awful hour early in the morning

Its a thread on a French motorsport site.
It drifts off onto other lady drivers occassionally (not necessarily a bad thing) but always comes back to Michele.

There are a couple of pictures of her driving IN-NE 3 on page 4 which I haven't seen before.

Wow, what an unbelievable cache of pictures.
I'm ashamed to say I didn't know a lot about here pre-Quattro career.
Now I'm really intrigued.
Anyone know if there's been a bio written of here and her racing career, in English?

Her Father is dying......... but still he urges her to go to the rally and push for the win - fiercely proud of his daughter and her ability. She bites back the tears and pushes on.......... We will NEVER see the likes of Michele's talent or determination, ever again.

At 4min 58s she says "Yes, Yes - Come on", a mechanic lazily replies "Ya!" she angrily retorts:- "We lost 5 minutes for you yesterday" I'd Say..........."Don't mess with Michele" - she's a professional, my friend!
At 6min 05s you can see Stig Blomqvist helping out at the service halt...........He was not entered as a driver, but he's there, backing Michele up for her Championship bid - excellent stuff!
