Default Leather Restorer

Have just took delivery of the leather interior for my Coupe. Generally in good condition. Just a few minor scuffs and a little wear in places. Amybody know of a good restorer/colour wax or polish. Am cleaning with good old soap/water and elbow grease and Auto Glym leather cleaner and leather care cream which is ok but wanted something more proffesional.

I like Colorplus, which is used for leather restoration in the US. Take a look online.
I've used there softener on many books and folios at work. Original designed for the restoration of leather car upholstery and saddles.

Try Gliptone products. Readily available in the UK and excellent for leather

I doubt it Mart. Got soooo much on. Son got back from USA on Mon. He's been working there for 3 months. We're like the United Nations tommorrow for a few days with friends he made coming to stay so its threw us out. Not a clue where they are all going to sleep
So not even sure if I'll even get to the next BC.

The RaceGlaze leather cleaner and leather feed are very good and leave a matte finish if that is what you require. The smell is not too strong either. Just used some tonight on my A4.

Otherwise there is also the Zymol leather cleaner and milk from the normal range, not the high end one. This is also pretty good. They would give you better results than the A/G range.

If you need the colour restored due to wear and tear etc, this is also available from RaceGlaze. (www.morethanpolish.co.uk).

Let me know your findings, as part of the to do list for re-comissioning is to get the leather back in shape, as its started to crack, and feels very dry and hard to the touch due to being stood in sunlight for so long.

Just used the RaceGlaze stuff again this afternoon. The cleaner works very well with the leather balm leaving a matte finish and a nice smell, but not too strong. If the leather is dry or starting to crack then you can just use extra layers of the leather balm to help protect it.

Also remember when you are treating leather to make sure the leather is warm, as the pores will then open (just like your own skin). You will then be able to clean it better and also the milk/balm/feed will also then be absorbed. With cold leather it will just sit on the surface and not be absorbed so readily.
