Start off and a get a clunk from the rear of my car.If you feather the clutch it,s not as noticable.(My last q90 did it but worse.)
Any advice, has anyone had same problem? I haven,t had chance to suss out what it is,but i gambled and got new diff mounts off ebay. Will that cure the clunk????? Thanks,Karl. |

did you get the big one at the very back too?not sure what year your car is but the early 90s had the mount built into the diff but the slightly later ones have the one you can unbolt same as on S2's etc, either way the rubber inner can be replaced(dont think audi sell the rubber on its own though, powerflex or similar do them) or you can buy a whole piece for the later one from audi but its about £100 i think from memory. Also worth changing the gearbox ones while you are at it

Haven,t done much research yet?? I was looking into researching my last q90(same problem),but i took it off the road.It was falling apart, especially around the sub-frame mounts. Have to look in shed(under lots of stuff),to be totally honest don,t know if they will fit.The ad was for q90 1985,but the amount of times i,ve been given later parts off a later q90. I,ll see how many mounts it has and if it has a built in mount??I,ll check out powerflex, aswell. Nice men at GSF,gave me a ETOS disc.Have to load it on pc and check it out. Thanks for the info,i,ll let you know how i get on. Karl. |

they are the 2 that are either side of the diff, there is one single one at the back which is surrounded by aluminium. Not much point in changing only those 2.Earlier i saw the rear mount(powerflex) forsale on 'A and M cars website' for £27+vat not sure how that compares with other places

After you told me about powerflex,i looked on their site.Got the same price £27.45+vat.
I,ll have a search around. I agree,i,ll change all 3. Want to renew all the mounts and bushes, bit by bit.Maybe even lower her 40mm+decent gas shocks.Last car was lowered and stiffened up,(compared to that)this one feels like a camel.(standard) Thanks, again Karl. |
