It's either a genuine Audi 50 or a MK1 polo with an Audi grille.

I thought it looked an awful lot like what we in the states would have called a VW Rabbit.. (I think that was the Polo in Europe) but I don't remember any Audi branded models that size over here...

The VW rabbit was a golf. Audis first small car was the Audi 50.

Polo and A50 is exactly the same car exept from the logos...

And yes this is a A50.
