Knife Crime!

Well, I've seen it on the telly but last night I becoame a "victim" of knife crime!

I went to my local One Stop shop to get a few bits on my way home from work. 2 hoodie morons were in the process of robbing a Heineken keg and barged past me after doing the same to the 2 middle aged women who were working there alone(!). Like a div, I gave chase!
Once I caught them, a few brief words were exchanged before the one with a silly hat and dangly bits on it, said "I don't get no trouble, my mate here does..." refereing to the home madeknife he pulled from his bag! Nice!
I, shall we say, dealt with the situation and managed to return the stolen keg and one of the lads, albiet not under his own steam, back to the shop where I held him for the cops but my god, what is our country coming to????
Niehter of them gave a toss about anyone or had ANY respect for the people involved. They thought what they were doing was fine and almost normal!
It was like being in some sort of sketch show - it was text book. How they dressed, spoke and acted was just as it seems on tv. Pair of knob heads. I'm sure they wouldn't have cared if the cops had just turned up, they made little attempt to actually get away to begin with, they were just bothered about who looked hardest to each other!
Not nice to experiance this so close to home, on the route my kids go to school and just meters from the park they play on regularly.

That's not good Ben. And the reason it seems so 'surreal' is because we are..'normal', act normal and get away with being normal because we were brought up normal, and being normal is what we did. Sorry to hear that pal. Hope you didn't hurt your right hand little finger knuckle too much!?

I have some swealling but to be honest well worth it for the satisfaction!!!

Good work, have a Heikennen on me tonight

I have been subject to knife crime on a few occassions, I live in London and it is all very common down here.
Whilst defending myself once, the Knifee sliced the inside of my thumb, but the bone stopped the cut progressing any more,the doctors stichted it up again, I survived with just a scar to remind me.

The previous head teacher where my wife works looked out of his window some years ago to see some hoodie smashing his car window to get to the stereo, He raced down to the car to be confronted by an obviously drugged up yob who was happy to state he didn't care if he killed him. The head was a bit shocked at this yobs attitude to life etc and had images of his kids without a Dad which is why he backed off. Well chaps, they got a good "educating", one far more than the other as he left his mate and did a runner - that's "respect" for ya eh!!!

I've seen it so much on TV but I live on the outskirts of Derby - it's hardly a war zone. What is going on with the world. There were several other blokes in the shop, and 2 actually walked past us mid-tustle. I don't blame em for not getting involved buy they didn't even look up. This, I feel is why these morons get away with so much. They think if they wave a knife around they have power and they know that most people won't fight back, either through fear of what will happen or because we'd get in bother with the police if it all went wrong. I nearly did last night!
